I tend to overthink a lot. I’ve lived with worry and anxiety all my life, never feeling safe. I’ve hidden behind work and pain to avoid committing to others, people pleasing, and therefore avoiding rejection. I have this feeling of never giving or being enough. I’m slowly working on and acknowledging these feelings and I thought I was doing much better but worry and anxiety still takes over from time to time
We overthink because we are protecting ourself. Our mind is trying to figure out what we have done wrong so that we don’t place ourselves in the same situation again.
So how do we help our mind release the old patterns of thinking and stop looping the same thoughts over and over?
